Wiggett Group has participated in several food banks over recent years. The first one was in Rainham in 2022.
It was incredible to see the scale of the operation, with donations ranging from canned foods to fresh produce stacked everywhere. Following a quick orientation session with the staff, we were put to work sorting
and organising.
It was a very humbling experience to see firsthand the reality of food insecurity in our communities and the incredible work that organisations like food banks do to address it. We left feeling like we’d made a tangible difference in the community, even if it was for just one day. We’d recommend getting involved wherever you live.
