Service Solar PV Panels

A team of Wiggett Group engineers recently brought 12 rooftop solar PV panels back to life, after four years of them being dormant under the supervision of a previous contractor.

We learned from our client, MHS Homes, that the panels at Buckland House in Strood became dormant following a fire caused by the system. This made a thorough safety inspection essential before bringing them back online.

Annual servicing, testing and maintenance is now underway, ensuring all solar panels operate safely and efficiently and remain fully compliant with warranty and safety standards.

Testing of solar panels is highly sunlight dependent, with inconsistent irradiance leading to inaccurate readings or delays. We overcome this by planning testing schedules based on solar irradiance forecasts, ensuring we test when light levels are optimal for accurate results.
